Adult Education for Learning Societies – Asian and European Perspectives for a Globalized World

(2006-10-28 till 2006-11-04)

International Conference and Study Tour, Beijing, China, 28.10.-4.11.2006

CAEA, ASPBAE, EAEA, DVV are planning a conference on adult learning in China. Much preparatory work has been invested in the preparation of the programme and its implementation. More has to be done in the coming weeks.
However, we receive requests for more information from those interested, and for wider circulation. Therefore we are sending this document around. If you want to know more, or participate, take over a specific role, make suggestions, please contact us on these two e-mails
Cnier2006(ät)yahoo.com.cn  and hinzen(ät)iiz-dvv.de  with copies to eaea(ät)nepfoiskola.hu and aspbae(ät)vsnl.com

We are circulating herewith a second draft of the programme which includes confirmed, requested and suggested themes and people. We want to create a situation where most, or even all participants are somehow actively involved. You can see, there are many areas where we are looking for colleagues who want to take over the role of chairperson, moderators, speakers, reporters etc. in the plenary and the different thematic forums or discussion rounds.
The costs for self-supporting international participants are currently budgeted at about 1.500 € (about 700 - 900 flights, 400 - 500 board and lodge, plus ?) It seems that some sponsors may be supporting areas like translation, interpretation, printing and other areas.
