Nordplus Adult project

Working methods / forms of the project
Four workshops of arts and crafts, learning in Moodle-environment, art and cultural happenings

Goal:
To develop arts and craft studies for adults, to learn more methods and technics of teaching arts and crafts, to show these methods and technics also to the public (there is coming an exhibition in Latvia February 2012), and an publication of the project, in the end of spring term 2012.

Why was the project initiated / what triggered the start of the project?
The same idea of developing the arts and crafts studies for adults was combining all the partners together for ALVA-project

What was the intention of the project / what did it want to achieve and for whom (target group/groups)?
To develop arts and crafts studies for adults, to learn more methods and technics of teaching arts and crafts, to show these methods and technics also to the public (there is coming an exhibition in Latvia February 2012), and an publication of the project, in the end of spring term 2012.

Status:
Three workshops of arts and crafts have been organized in Ylöjärvi adult education centre (February 2011), in Tartu folk high school (may 2011), in Kedainiai adult education centre (September 2011). The final workshop and the exhibition of all these workshops will be organized in Bauska regional history and art museum (in February 2012).
all the workshops have been documented by Voionmaa institute’s film group. the project have a lot of data: photos, videos, interviews of students and teachers of the workshops. this material is the basement for editing the publication of the project next spring term.

What are the main learning points of the project?
Methods and technics of teaching arts and crafts learned from the workshops, Moodle as an learning environment, arts and cultural happenings during the workshop weeks is different lands.

What experience could be transferable? How could the project experience inspire other organizations / countries?
All the workshops (methods and technics) have been documented by Voionmaa institute’s film group. The project has a lot of data: photos, videos, interviews of students and teachers of the workshops. This material is the basement for editing the publication of the project next spring term. We have also text and image materials in Moodle from the project.

Products
The exhibition of ALVA project is coming in February 2012 in Latvia, publication of ALVA-project is coming to the end of spring term 2012, the report is coming in the end of spring term 2012, information of the project is shown in the web site, information is shown in the Moodle for partners.
