Discussion about the NQFs in Europe
Different countries in Europe proceed with the development and implementation of their NQFs at a different pace. The importance of creating a common language in Europe for interpreting the learning outcomes and the important role of validation in this respect was emphasized by all the key-note speakers and many participants during the conference in Brussels in November this year.
The conference participants actively shared their experiences during the round-table sessions and commented on the presented examples of NQF implementation. A selection of views from the European adult education organizations and education authorities is presented in the interviews with the conference participants from Ireland, Germany, Sweden, Greece and Macedonia. And much more information is available in the report from the EAEA / NVL Conference 2010 “The integration of non-formal adult learning in National Qualification Frameworks (NQFs)”.
