Pilot Study:”Nordic E-tools for Validation – a Selection”, 2009
Recognition and validation of prior learning is a priority area in Nordic co-operation. This is why the Danish National Knowledge Centre for Validation of Prior Learning was commissioned in 2008 by the NVL expert network on validation to carry out a pilot study of the electronic tools used for validation purposes.
The pilot study surveys and describes different electronic tools used in validation. The selection includes examples of e-tools developed by national authorities, committees or foundations, trade organisations, associations, NGOs, etc.
The review contains e-tools from five Nordic countries. Twelve of them are described and analysed in more detail by authors Anne-Marie Dahler-Larsen and Håkon Grunnet in their report, titled ”Nordiske e-værktøjer til Validering – et udsnit” (Nordic e-tools for validation – a selection). The authors have compiled a tabular review listing the e-tools.
