(2008-10-22 till 2008-10-26)
The Grundtvig project called “Forward Trainer” has resulted in a Training course that will take place in Cyprus. This course will focus mainly on raising awareness of the problems connected with reading and writing difficulties and on initial steps in spotting and helping adults who have these difficulties. The course will be practical in its approach and it will involve the participants in a variety of activities. Although this is an Inter-European course, it will be taught by teachers who have a lot of experience of teaching similar courses in their own countries.
Teachers, careers officers, tutors, trade union and employers representatives, local authorities, administrative and non-teaching administrative staff, adult educators, counsellors, teacher trainers and others who, in their professions, are likely to meet adults with reading and writing difficulties.
The course will be taught by
Kari H. A. Letrud, Senior Adviser and expert on reading and writing difficulties at Vox, National Institute for Adult Learning, Norway. She has been one of the project coordinators of the Forward project, which this course originates from. Project home page: http://www.statvoks.no/forward/
