Dear Reader,
From 4th to 5th December 2007 a NVL and EAEA conference took place in Riga with the title ”Equal Opportunities for All – the value of adult education in promoting equality”. About 170 people from 26 countries gathered in the capital of Latvia. The current DialogWeb is focussing on the issues of equal learning possibilities, too.
Which topics are discussed? Making use of highly educated immigrants as educators for other immigrants.
Excluded young people and reintroducing them into society. Creating equal educational opportunities for adults and young people. Postponing retirement of elderly workers. Making better use of immigrants’ professional skills. Reintroducing people with learning difficulties into life-long education.
Each article outlines the problems, projects, legal acts and possible solutions concerning the specific topic.
